UB Re-opens Sports Facilities

The University of Bohol now re-opens its different sports facilities starting April 21, 2022, for its face-to-face training of athletes in basketball, volleyball, swimming, and Karatedo after the institution has received clearance from the Tagbilaran-Inter Agency Task Force for COVID 19.

Lt. Col. Lino N. Garsuta, PA (Res), UB athletic sports coordinator, disclosed that last April 12, 2022, the Tagbilaran City IATF already issued a safety seal for the university to start operating its existing sports facilities, including the UB gymnasium, Dojo gym, VBT Jr. Aquatic Center, Beach Volleyball Court, and the VBT Jr. Sports Complex. On April 13, 2022, the day after the issuance of IATF clearance, the Office of the Athletic Sports Coordinator conducted an orientation among coaches and athletes to ensure that health protocols must be observed during the training activities.

UB has already produced exemplary athletes who excelled internationally and worldwide in boxing, swimming, karatedo, and weightlifting. It is also the home of an Olympic size swimming pool, nestled inside the campus of the Victoriano D. Tirol- Advanced Learning Center (VDT-ALC) in Taloto District, this city.
