CET Alumnus Conferred as ASEAN Engineer

The College of Engineering and Technology added another accolade to the University’s roster of internationally recognized alumni.
One of its meritorious alumnus, Engr. Alberto R. Tan was approved as a Member of the ASEAN Engineering Register (AER) by the Philippine Technological Council (PTC). He was Conferred as an ASEAN Engineer last July 3, 2021, by the Virtual Conferment Ceremony sponsored by the PICE - Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, National Chapter.
He is a registered civil engineer in Quality Assurance/Quality Control for civil works in large-scale projects and certified project management and quality control monitoring professional with more than 30 years of experience in general construction supervision and project management.
His experience includes heavy construction in railway tunneling works, international airports, roads, bridges, building construction, and fule pipeline construction in Saudi Arabia.
He was the chief of quality control in a railway tunnel leading to the King Abdulaziz International Airport Project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and led Civil Quality Assurance and Quality Control in King Falsal Air Academy Project Al Majmaah, K.S.A.
Tan finished his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Bohol in March 1985. He took and passed the Civil Engineering Board Exam on September 29, 1986.
According to Engr. Tan, “this is a very significant achievement that I gained, thus putting myself into a higher level of my engineering career and also a great honor for my Alma Mater – the University of Bohol.”
