UB Baby Lemurs clinch 2nd in BSAA Season 9 tourney

After the long and exciting matches of Bohol Schools Athletic Association (BSAA) Season 9 basketball competitions, the University of Bohol - University Grade School (UB-UGS) Baby Lemurs placed first runner-up in the Under 12 Category last December 4, 2019, at the HNU Barder Gym.

The team under the tutelage of Coach Michael P. Laquinta pushed themselves to the limit and gave their all in the championship game, which ended with a score of 46-36 in favor of GreAtMinds Learning Academy. The Baby Lemurs demonstrated the skills, talent, sportsmanship, and teamwork that they developed during the tournament.

Despite coming up a bit short of their ultimate goal, the players, their proud parents, and other supporters were ecstatic with the achievement of the UB Baby Lemurs and the pride and glory it has brought not just to the UGS but to the entire university.

The team was formally recognized with their 1st Runner Up finish in the Under 12 Category during the Awarding Ceremony held last December 18, 2019. Additionally, Kervy Noel Regonas was awarded as the Most Improved Player and selected as a member of Top 5 Mythical Players for the entire tournament.

After their runner-up finish, the returning players are deeply motivated to go all the way and win it all in the next season of the Bohol Schools Athletic Association.
