Attended by all JHS students, the initiative was held in pursuance of Republic Act 9003 or the Philippine Ecological Waste Management Act of 2000. It aimed to raise awareness among the students on the proper disposal and segregation of solid waste and to help the department achieve its goal of becoming a zero-waste campus.
