Responding to the global call for the conservation of the Earth’s resources from irreversible depletion and exhaustion, the University of Bohol – Junior High School (UB-JHS) conducted a series of symposiums on Solid Waste Management last November 15 and 22, 2019 at the UB Instructional Media Center and Information Resource Center.

Attended by all JHS students, the initiative was held in pursuance of Republic Act 9003 or the Philippine Ecological Waste Management Act of 2000. It aimed to raise awareness among the students on the proper disposal and segregation of solid waste and to help the department achieve its goal of becoming a zero-waste campus.
