UB consultant named as Fellow of ICD

Dr. Nuevas T. Montes, consultant of the University of Bohol (UB), was inducted as a Fellow by the Society of Fellows of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) on November 15, 2019, in Makati City, Philippines. Dr. Montes passed the exam and interview conducted by the ICD after participating the one year ICD course.

The lady lawyer and former UB President was conferred the title of Fellow upon the recommendation of the Chairman and Trustees of the ICD. Francis G. Estrada, ICD Chairman, personally awarded the certificate of conferment.

The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) is a non-stock, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the professionalization of Philippine corporate directorship by raising the level of corporate governance policy and practice to world-class standards.

It is primarily an institute of, for, and by corporate directors established in the Philippines. It is made up mainly of individuals and reputational agents committed to the professional practice of corporate directorship in line with global principles of modern corporate governance.

As a Fellow, Dr. Montes is now listed in the roll of ICD professionals in the area of education and related fields.

At present, Dr. Montes is a member of UB’s Board of Trustees.
