PRESAS, TIROL LEAD UB ROCKETS MEDAL HAUL

Anthony Jude "AJ" Presas and Victoriano Martin "Renzo" Adiong Tirol, IV, Grade 9 and Grade 8 students respectively of the University of Bohol - Victoriano D. Tirol Advanced Learning Center (UB-VDTALC) spearheaded the medal haul of the UB Rockets swimming team in the recent Tagbilaran City swimming meet held at the UB Aquatic Center Victoriano B. Tirol Jr. Sports Complex in this city, last September 25-26, 2019. The two youthful tankers romped their way to 10 of the 11 Gold medals collected by the UB Rockets Secondary boys team. In the process, the UB Rockets claimed the championship title in the secondary boys level. AJ bested all swimmers in the secondary boys in the 100m, 200m, and 400m freestyle and the 100m and 200m backstroke. Meanwhile, Renzo reigned supreme in the 50m, 100m, and 200m breaststroke. Tirol and Presas then teamed up with Ocean Inaki Viosin and Ryan Lauritz Vidal to claim the Gold medal in the 4 x 50m Freestyle and 4 x 50m medley relays. The UB Rockets swimming team has consistently produced swimming champions in the national and international arena. The most prominent, is Junior National Record Holder, Palarong Pambansa Gold medalist, and SEA age Silver medalist Rian Marco Adiong Tirol, the elder brother of Renzo Tirol.
