Brian Klein Villapaz Fernandez, PTRP, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Bohol etched his name into the spotlight after attaining 8 th place in the August 2019 Licensure Examination for Physical Therapists given by the Professional Regulation Commission’s Board of Physical & Occupational Therapy in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Cebu last August 10-11, 2019.

Fernandez who graduated magna cum laude last March 2019 and was awarded Physical Therapy Intern of the Year made his way into the PT topnotchers circle after obtaining a stellar rating of 85.55% in the said examination.

Aside from Fernandez, Dr. Myrna L. Plateros, Dean of the College of Physical and Occupational Therapy (CPT/OT) disclosed that UB’s brand new physical therapists include Jessabel. B. Abastas. PTRP, Gene Christian O. Boholst, PTRP, Erika Sofia N. Karcher, PTRP, Jovelle Christine M. Lajera, PTRP, and Riza Jean M. Padron, PTRP.

Meanwhile, the university’s new Occupational Therapists are Charmaine D. Farinas, OTRP and Anne Louise S. Villahermosa, OTRP.

Additionally, UB’s new crop of physical and occupational therapists surpassed the national passing average of 64.57% in the PT Board Exam and was just a few percentage points lower than the national passing average of 71.47% in the OT Board Exam.
