TAGBILARAN CITY - In a historic ceremony, Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol, III formally assumed office as the Fifth President of the University of Bohol last December 11, 2018, at the Bohol Cultural Center, this city.

A namesake of his grandfather Atty. Victoriano D. Tirol, Sr. (1st UB President) and father Atty. Victoriano B. Tirol, Jr. (3nd UB President), Dr. Ryan as he is known in the academe, accepted the mantle of leadership of the first university in the province. He is the fifth member of the Tirol clan and the first of the third generation of Tirols to hold the position.

The youthful and dynamic university president vowed to build on the legacy left by his forebearers and sustain the nonstop growth of the university with the guiding principles of success: great talents, great buildings, and great characters.

Earlier during the investiture rites, Atty. Ulysses B. Tirol, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, also formally inducted into office Dr. Maricel A. Tirol, PhD as the new Vice President for Finance and Miss Ria Eva M. Sevilla, MAHESOS, MPA as new Vice Presidents for Administration.
