UB Law Offers Free Philsat Review.

UBLaw offers free PhilSAT review, law scholarships as support to students who are planning to take up Bachelor of Laws for the next school year, the University of Bohol College of Law (UBLaw) offers free review for the Philippine Law School Admission Test (PhilSAT) starting April 1-15, 2017.

Per Legal Education Board (LEB) Memorandum Order No. 7, series of 2016, no student shall be allowed to enroll in any law school in the Philippines without taking and passing the Philippine Law School Admission Test beginning first semester of School Year 2017-2018.



Atty. Gregorio B. Austral, CPA, dean of UBLaw, disclosed that in addition to the free review, the university will partly subsidize the PhilSAT testing fee for the first 25 students who will pre-enroll in its Bachelor of Laws program. It will also provide free assistance in the online registration of the examinees and personalized coaching in Cebu City on examination day. The review classes will be handled by topnotch law professors, Austral added.

In a related development, Dean Austral formally announced the Victoriano Tirol, Jr. Law Scholarships starting next school year. Under the scholarship program, prospective and current law students who obtained specified grade point average may avail of the corresponding scholarships and discounts to wit: 1.00-1.20 (Summa, 1st-5th placers) – full scholarship including miscellaneous and other fees; 1.21-1.50 (Magna, Cum, 6th-10th placers) – free tuition fee (to pay miscellaneous and other fees); 1.51–1.65 – 50%; 1.66-1.70 – 40%; 1.71-1.85 – 30%; 1.85-2.00 – 20-%.
