UB SPIKERS REIGN IN INTER-HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL TOURNEY

The University High School Boys and Girls Volleyball Teams of the University of Bohol triumphantly hoisted the Championship trophy being the top teams in the recently concluded Legacy Start-up Volleyball Tournament at the UB Gymnasium last Saturday, September 24, 2016.

The Baby Flying Lemurs VT outshined the Falcons of Holy Name University with a 3 sets to 1 game in the boys and girls division. Coached by Mr. Jeffrey Luza, the Lady Baby Lemurs were led by the league Most Valuable Player Hope Amper while the boys division was steered by the high flying Marlouvin Bihag who was also awarded as the Most valuable player of their category.



Holy Name University (HNU) Falcons grabbed the silver medals while Holy Spirit School of Tagbilaran (HSST) Crusaders earned the third spot in a highly contested game versus Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School (DCPNHS)Cyclones in both the boys and girls categories. Volleyball enthusiasts in the city, students, parents and other participating teams were in attendance during the finale of the tournament. DCPNHS, BWS, TCSHS, MANGA NHS, COGON NHS,MANSASA NHS, HTSF, TGCS and UB-VDT ALC players and coaches also received their certificates during the awarding ceremony after the championship games along with the special individual awards.

The month-long tournament which opened last August 27, 2016 was organized by the Legacy Volleyball League headed by Coach Lemuel “LemJ” Belarmino and the UB Flying Lemurs Seniors Varsity Team in coordination with the Department of Education - Tagbilaran City Division.
