UB senior high student bags medals in Taekwondo tourney

Isabel Iris T. Garsuta of the University of Bohol Senior High School won silver and bronze medals in the 2016 New Face of the Year Taekwondo Championships held on May 30, 2016 at Robinsons Galleria, Cebu City.

Garsuta who won a silver medal in “Kyurogi” Sparing (Pin weight category) also bagged a bronze medal in “Poomsae” Forms (Black belt category). The event was sponsored by the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) with Tournament Manager Jon Adrew Cabiles and PTA Region VII Chairman Tony Del Prado.

The young medalist is the daughter of Lt. Col. Lino N. Garsuta, PA (Res) and Mrs. Marisa Tirol-Garsuta of Booy District, Tagbilaran City.
