University of Bohol mentor is 2015 Tagsanay Awardee


Dr. Alma G. Piquero of the University of Bohol College of Hospitality Management, Tourism, Nutrition and Dietetics was bestowed the 2015 Tagsanay Award by the national Technical Education & Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

In a memorandum issued by Dr. Francisca R. Opog, OIC Regional Director, TESDA VII, it was officially announced that Dr. Piquero was among the eight finalists and garnered the fifth rank. The finalists were chosen from 36 provincial candidates representing 17 regions of the country. During the preliminary evaluation, all the candidates were subjected to portfolio assessment, written examination and individual and team activities.

Starting 2016, the Tagsanay Award will be one of TESDA’s Institutional Awards given to outstanding TESDA trainors in the country. The search will officially start in March and culminate in August during the TESDA Anniversary Celebration.
