UB community outreach in Ewon, Sevilla

UB SHARES, UB CARES–Student volunteers distribute school materials to pupils of Ewon Primary School in Sevilla, Bohol.

In line with its commitment to community development, the University of Bohol thru its Community Extension Operation Tabang Project reached out the people of Ewon, Sevilla with the holding of two simultaneous activities.

Participants of theBasic First Aid Training conducted by the College of Liberal Arts- Science Area demonstrate their skills to the organizers after the training.




Dr. Gina T. Lopena, Head, UB Community Extension Service, made public the sustainable community involvement of the extension service arm of the university to help empower the Boholanos and develop their respective communities. The latest intervention in Barangay Ewon, Sevilla involved the distribution of various school supplies to pupils of Ewon Primary School and the conduct of Basic First Aid Training to parents and barangay officials of the said barangay. The training which was undertaken by the College of Liberal Arts- Science Area is aimed at providing barangay folks the necessary skills and know-how to respond to emergency situations. Barangay Ewon in Sevilla is an adopted community of the university. (lab.boncales)
