UB Rockets Tankers Bag Medals in 2018 Milo Little Olympics

Five swimmers of the University of Bohol Rockets Swimming team successfully made it to the victory podium after collecting multiple medals and awards in the Milo Little Olympics-2018, held on August 30 to September 2, 2018, at the Cebu City Sports Center.

Leading the pack was Jovy Claire B. Jaspe (elementary-girls) with three silver medals in the 50m butterfly, 100m butterfly, and 50m freestyle, and bronze medals in the 200m individual medley, 50m backstroke and 4x50m freestyle relay.


SHS Stallions Crowned UB Days Champ

The University of Bohol once again celebrated its annual UB Days on September 8-15, 2018 with the theme, "Stronger…Greater…"

The weeklong extravaganza of sporting, academic, literary, musical and dance events saw the Senior High School (SHS) Stallions emerge triumphant as the over-all champion. The Stallions dominated the competitions to the tune of 41 golds, 43 silvers, and 27 bronzes. The College of Criminal Justice (CCJ) Tigers placed second with 31 golds, 19 silvers, and 25 bronzes while the Victoriano D. Tirol - Advanced Learning Center (VDT-ALC) Huskies won 26 golds, 14 silvers, and six bronzes to place third.


UB Welcomes PAASCU Evaluators

Another batch of accreditors from the Philippine Association of Accrediting Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) recently visited the University of Bohol (UB) to conduct a series of accreditations and consultations for its pre-college programs.

On August 2-3, 2018, a PAASCU team conducted the evaluation for the Level 1 accreditation of the University of Bohol Victoriano B. Tirol Advanced Learning Center (VDTALC). The team was composed of Ms. Ana Maria Hernandez, Mr. Rodelio Santos, Mr. Ringo Blanca, Ms. Maria Victoria de la Cruz, Dr. Vicente Araneta, Mr. Alex Gesmundo, Dr. Jocelyn Tan and Fr. Cesar Manlosa, Jr. SDB.


UB Studes Join Coastal Cleanup

University of Bohol (UB) students led by the current Mr. UB Personality and Ms. UB Personality together with the Supreme Student Government and the Student Affairs Office Dean joined hands with doctors, businessmen, tourists, backpackers and members of local and international environmental groups for a beach cleanup in Barangay Alegria, Loay, Bohol last August 18, 2018. The monthly cleanup organized by the staff of Alona Hammocks and Batuan Hammocks Hotel was done in support of the Plastic-Free Bohol movement's fight against global plastic pollution.
