UB – CHMTN Holds Cultural Show

The freshmen and juniors of the College of Hospitality Management, Tourism & Nutrition (CHMTN) recently made the UB Quadrangle pulsate with life as they partnered to organize a cultural show with Filipino Cuisine last September 21, 2018.

The show which had the theme, “Pagbalik Tanaw sa Makulay na Kulturang Pilipino Gamit ang Turismo at Teknolohiyang Pabago-bago,” involved participants from the THC1 (Macro Perspective of Hospitality and Tourism) and the Asian Cuisine and Events Management 1 classes. It intended to raise awareness among the youth on the proper utilization of technology for the preservation of our native culture and arts.


UB CON Holds Research Forum

The University of Bohol - College of Nursing (CON) successfully held a research forum with the theme, Health Research Ventures and Opportunities last October 1, 2018, at the Victoriano D. Tirol-Advanced Learning Center (VDT-ALC) Mini Theatre.

A total of four Nursing students presented their research outputs before the panel of reactors chaired by Dr. Mutya Kismet T. Macuno with members Dr. Gloria T. Casabal and Rev. Fr. Valentino U. Pinlac. The presenters were Jeanica Mae I. Torrefranca on Self-care Practices on the Prevention of Complications Among Diabetics, William Erick N. Karcher on Coping Behavior and Readiness of Young Parents, Rex Adrian T. Bernante on Perceived Emotional Experiences Among Married Primigravida Women, and Michael Anthony T. Galaura on Lived Experiences of Families Having a Member with Mental Disorder in Barangay Guiwanon and Sta. Cruz, Baclayon, Bohol.


UB's MA Programs Clinch PACUCOA Accreditation

The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation, Inc. (PACUCOA) has formally given Level I accreditation to the Master of Arts programs of the University of Bohol (UB) for a three-year period effective August 2018 to August 2021.

In an official communication sent by the PACUCOA Board of Directors through its chairman Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo, Jr. to UB President Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol, III, the board confirmed that the following UB programs namely, Master of Arts in Educational Management, English, Guidance and Counselling, History and Psychology; Master of Arts in Teaching Filipino, Mathematics, Physical Education and Social Sciences; Master in Public Administration; and Master of Science in Business Administration were all granted Level I accredited status for three years.
