Mayor Yap inducts UB/RPCAAI officers, calls for stronger partnership

UB/RPCAAI to induct new set of officers

The new set of officers of the University of Bohol/Rafael Palma College Alumni Association, Inc. (UB/RPCAAI) FY 2014-1015 will formally take their oath of office before Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II on August 1, 2014 (Friday), at 7:00 P.M., Jjs’ Seafoods Village, K of C Drive, this city.

Taking their respective oath of office are Engr. Maurito Lim, president, Mr. Frederick Namoc, vice president, Dr. Nilda Echavez, secretary, Dr. Carolina Belarmino, treasurer, Dr. Jerome Magallen, auditor and Mr. Leo Armando Boncales , public relations officer. Members of the board of trustees include, Col. Teofisto V. Cabagnot, Jr. (Ret) PA, Engr. Ulysses Cagande, Engr. Serviliano Millanar, Col. Cesar Pamaong (Ret.) PAF (IPP), Prof. Reinerio Augusto Real, Mr. John Chris Torralba and Mr. Antonio Wycoco.

UB donates chairs to Lourdes High School in Cortes

A barangay high school in Barangay Lourdes, Cortes which is 4.5 kilometers from the town proper and which site is adjacent to Barangays Cabawan and Tiptip of Tagbilaran City is a recipient of 100 wooden armchairs from the University of Bohol.

This development came after UB received a letter from Mrs. Judith E. Cajes, teacher in-charge, requesting assistance from the university for classroom chairs. Since its opening, Lourdes High School used to hold classes in Lourdes Elementary School. It was only last year and upon recommendation of the school officials that barangay officials led by Barangay Captain Macario Z. Ongyot Jr. and the Parents Teachers Association thru President Sibilina Pocot decided to transfer the students to the new site.


Stakeholders affirm UB strategy and curricular map

The University of Bohol organized a Strategy and Curricular Map Public Presentation on July 9, 2014 at UB Information Resource Center. There were 30 representatives from the alumni, business sector, government agencies, parents who critiqued the newly approved University Roadmap and Curricular Map of the College of Business and Accountancy, Teachers College and the College of Arts and Sciences.

Acting UB President, Atty. Nuevas T.
