UB Grade School holds student leadership training

The University of Bohol – University Grade School (UB-UGS) recently conducted a leadership training for its 26 student officers last July 6, 2019, at the UGS Activity Center. The said training was organized by the UGS faculty and staff led by Principal Maribeth D. Alpuerto to mold the participating officers by providing them with opportunities to further develop their leadership skills anchored on the university’s trinity of virtues – Scholarship, Character, and Service.

Officials from the University of Bohol Supreme Student Government (UBSSG) led by UBSSG President Samantha Loraine Salaysay and Dave Bautro, UB Student Activity Assistant facilitated the leadership training by preparing the modules, teambuilding activities and giving prizes to the participants.

There were two sessions during the said training. Session 1 facilitated by Bautro was all about “Being a Leader,” while Salaysay facilitated session 2.

Teambuilding activities were conducted after the sessions and interspersed throughout the training. This was to ensure maximum interaction between the participants and to develop their teamwork and collaborative skills further. The young leaders also got to participate in group discussions and sharing sessions, making it a very informative and fruitful activity for all involved.
