UJHS In celebration of Filipino Values Month

In celebration of Filipino Values Month, the Grade 7 students of the University of Bohol - Junior High School (UB-JHS) attended a symposium on Depression last November 23, 2018, at the UB-IRC. The symposium served as an avenue to educate the young minds of the Grade 7 students in the problems they might face in their lives.

Resource speaker Lope S. Hubac, Values Education Program Supervisor of DepEd - Bohol, discussed the causes of depression and how to cope with such feelings. He emphasized that the best way to fight this challenge is to love oneself.

The celebration of Filipino Values Month every November is pursuant to Proclamation No. 479 issued on October 7, 1994. It aims to strengthen Filipino culture, values, and ideals which are Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa. It is also a desirable and effective measure to create moral awakening and national consciousness on positive Filipino values.
