"HIMAMAT 2019"

The "Himamat" or the welcome program and general assembly of students took place at the University of Bohol Quadrangle last June 17, 2019. Despite some moderate rain which happened before the start of the program, event organizers led by the Student Affairs Office and the UBSSG were pleased with the student turnout.

The event which started in the late afternoon and ended at around nine in the evening saw mascots from the different colleges and departments of UB engage in a dance showdown which brought the audience to laughter. Thereafter, representatives from the said departments showcased their most elegant recycled outfits for the Trashion Show.

The highlight of the event - the "Badlisay," was saved for last. The Badlisay is considered as a ritual or a welcoming process of sorts for freshmen students so they can finally proclaim their status as a true-blue UBian.
