UB-VDTALC studes win big in 4th Nat’l Phoenix Aralinks Quest

Jacobe Joaquin M. Sevilla and Timothy John A. Jala, senior and junior high school students respectively of the University of Bohol - Victoriano D. Tirol Advanced Learning Center, won titles in the recently held 4th National Phoenix Aralinks Quest last February 22, 2019, at the Phoenix Building, Alegria Hall, Quezon City.

Sevilla bagged the national championship in the individual quest and 4th place in the team quest for the senior high school category, while Timothy Jala clinched 6th Place in the individual quest and 3rd place in the team quest for the junior high school category.

Zenaida T. Lungay, their proud coach, disclosed that the Aralinks Quests put to the test the ability of the students to demonstrate 21st-century skills through the collaboration of communication, creativity and critical thinking.

During the contest proper, the junior high school contestants answered questions incorporated in a role-playing game. On the other hand, senior high school contestants answered the Aralinks Collaborative Learning Environment-based test. The Junior High quest covered academics and current events, while the Senior High quest covered the core subjects. The participant getting the highest score in a quest is declared the winner.
