UB athletes nab 11 championships in Bohol PRISAA Meet

Athletes from the University of Bohol (UB) brought home 11 championship titles in different events during the Bohol Provincial PRISAA Meet 2019 held last January 24-26, 2019 at the CPG Sports Complex, Tagbilaran City.

Engr. Daniel T. Bernaldez, Jr., UB Athletics Coordinator, bared that the UB athletic delegation won championship titles in Table Tennis (men and women), Soccer (men), Badminton (men and women), Beach Volleyball (men and women), Karatedo (men and women), Boxing, and Swimming.

The UB contingent also placed 1st runner-up in Sepak Takraw; 2nd runner-up in Lawn Tennis –; and 2nd runner-up in Baseball.

Meanwhile, UB athletes also climbed the winner’s podium in the following athletics events: 3rd place in Discus Throw (men and women); 3rd place in 100m (men and women); 1st and 2nd place in 400m (women); 2nd place in 1,500m (women); 2nd and 3rd place in Long Jump (men); 2nd place in 4x100m (men); 2nd place in Shotput (women) and 3rd place in Shotput (men); 3rd place in 200m (men); 1st and 2nd place in 800m (women) and 2nd place in 800m (men) and 1st place in 4x400 (women) and 2nd place in 4x400 (men).

Most of the UB athletes will represent the Province of Bohol in the forthcoming national PRISAA which will be held in Davao City later this year.
