2018 UB Employees' General Assembly

The UB Employees’ General Assembly for the first semester of school year 2018-2019 was held last June 13, 2018, at the UB Gymnasium. The general assembly is a Venue for UB Employees to be informed of the important announcement for the coming semester; it is also a time to have fellowship and to maintain good camaraderie among employees.

The tracking of attendance during the assembly ran very smoothly and was done electronically using the RF-ID system. Here, UB President Dr. Ryan Tirol is shown using his employee ID for the time in of attendance.




More than 400 UB employees were in attendance as they exchanged department cheers inside the newly-lit UB Gymnasium.



The newly-appointed VP for Administration, Mrs. Ria Eva Montes – Sevilla welcomed all the employees and thanked them for their continued service in this new, vibrant school year. She highlighted the fact that the employees themselves, especially the extra-milers are the key to achieving UB’s mission, vision, and goals. She also assured that management would serve as transformational leaders and serve the employees, students, and the greater Boholano community with a heart.


During the President’s Report, Dr. Ryan Tirol highlighted key enrollment figures, academic achievements of students and faculty, physical and facilities development, big leaps in accreditation, special projects to look forward to in 2018 and UB’s strategic targets in the next two years. He concluded his report by challenging all employees to believe in the core values of the university and dedicating themselves in service to achieve their maximum potential.



VP for Finance, Dr. Maricel A. Tirol and OIC - VP for Academics, Atty. Marlumina B. Teh, shared some important announcements to those in attendance.


The UB employees danced the afternoon away and officially started the school year full of positive energy.
