UBROTC Unit corp commander joins CULP in Guam, USA

Cdt Col Ivonny P. Villarojo , corp commander of the University of Bohol Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) Unit and the lone delegate of the 7th Regional Community Defense Group (7thRCDG), successfully participated in the Cultural Understanding and Leadership Program (CULP) held last November 13-19, 2017 at Guam, USA.

The program which is under the auspices of Guam National Guard is geared towards enhancing the culture and leadership awareness and strengthening partnership between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the United States Military.


Cdt Villarojo is a student of BS Education major in Mathematics of the UB Teachers College. She is one of the 22 ROTC cadets from the different branch of service in the country who joined the 27 strong Philippine delegation.

At the start of the week long training program, the Philippine delegates made a courtesy call to Philippine Consul General to Guam Hon. Marciano De Borja who elaborately discussed the importance of mandatory ROTC in relation to the country’s economy and security. The delegates have undergone rigid strategic planning sessions, survival training and the FTX Field Training Exercise.
