UB to celebrate 71 st Charter Day on December 11

Taking pride of its fruitful and dedicated years in academic service, the University of Bohol will celebrate its 47th Charter Day and Christmas fellowship on December 11, 2017.
The Charter Day celebration will kick off with a motorcade around Tagbilaran’s main thorough fares to be followed by an opening program and formal launching of Family Welfare Program at the university quadrangle. At 9:00-5:00 pm ,the students will showcase the ASEAN-themed Knowledge and Skills Festival. A Research Festival among teachers and employees will simultaneously take on center stage at the Victoriano D. Tirol-Advanced Learning Center mini-theatre from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
In the evening of same day, all employees will gather at the Metro Centre Grand Ballroom for the Christmas party which is packed with fun and surprises and raffle draw with a trip to Hongkong for two as grand prize.
On December 16, 2017, all UB employees will again converge at the Victoriano B. Tirol Jr. Sports Complex at Peñaflor St., Taloto District, this city for the traditional family day.
To note, UB already existed for 71 years . It started as Rafael Palma College way back in 1946. It acquired its university status on October 16, 1970. On December 11, 1970, Atty. Victoriano Degamo Tirol, Sr. was installed as the first university president. Other university presidents include Atty. David Belarmino Tirol, Atty. Victoriano Belarmino Tirol, Jr. and incumbent University President Atty. Nuevas Tirol Montes.
