DOLE awards compliance certificate to UB

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has awarded the University of Bohol, the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) on General Labor Standards and Child Labor-Free establishment under the New Labor Laws Compliance System of the department. UB is one of the two educational institutions in Bohol which were awarded certificates of compliance by DOLE.

The awarding of the certificate is an offshoot of the joint assessment conducted by the Labor Laws Compliance Officers that strongly recommends the issuance of CoC to the university. Mrs. Melanie Tirol, human resource manager, personally received the award in behalf of the university during the awarding ceremonies held on September 26, 2014 at the City Sports Club, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City. The award was given by Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz. Also in attendance were, Labor Undersecretary Rebecca Chato, Regional Director Exequiel Sarcauga, and Bureau of Working Conditions Director Catherine Legados-Parado.
