Ladie Lyn G. Fuderanan, a third year Criminology student of the University of Bohol was chosen as one of the Outstanding Criminology Students of the Philippines by the Professional Criminologist Association of the Philippines (PCAP) during the 1st National Criminology Student Congress held on August 30-31, 2014 at Cebu Coliseum, Cebu City.
P/CINSP Jesus C. Acullador (Ret), RC, MSCrim, dean of the UB College of Criminology disclosed that the two day congress included various competitions to which student delegates of the university participated in and won awards and recognitions. Other winners during the congress are, Ronald U. Acog – best debater, Marry Joyce P. Gudmalin – best presenter in research presentation, Reina Rose Amor T. Galo, oratorical contest runner up, Johana Marie V. Baldon and Chander V. Yana – 10th placers in quiz bowl.
According to Dean Acullador, the recent national gathering was indeed a great learning experience among Criminology students. It enhanced their knowledge in the classrooms and it afforded them relevant course exposure.

Fostanes – bronze medalists, Karate 60kg Individual Kumite Category, Hermelie Cinchez - bronze medalist, Karate 55kgs Individual Kumite Category, Nelbert I. Tubac – ranked 4 ,Individual Kata and Retchiel M. Ruga – ranked 5 , Individual Kata.
Presently, the UB College of Criminology has a karatedo program where students enrolled have the opportunity to earn different karate belts with corresponding certificates. It also has a separate fully air-conditioned library with wi-fi connection, a modern forensic laboratory and newly improved dojo room.
